Governance

Version stamp

Applies to: renvor 0.0.0 · framework source 7d0816a · MSRV 1.94.0 · documentation set pre-release

This stamp is a single shared partial (docs/_stamp.mdx) imported by every prose page and the API reference. It binds this documentation snapshot to the immutable framework commit it describes. The framework remains unpublished and no release compatibility promise applies.

This site explains the project; it does not replace the records that govern it. When prose here and a normative framework document disagree, the normative document wins.

Authority order

  1. CONSTITUTION.md — supreme project authority.
  2. GOVERNANCE.md — decision rights, review rules, waivers, and amendments.
  3. Contracts — versioned public and internal obligations.
  4. Accepted decision records — choices and rejected alternatives.
  5. PLAN.md — ordered delivery programme.

Live records are linked, not copied

Waiver counts, phase status, task state, and decision status change independently of a prose site. Copying those tables here previously left a partial Phase 002 snapshot looking current after Phase 009 closed. The documentation now links to the live records instead:

The version stamp above identifies the immutable framework revision this prose was reviewed against. Follow the links for the current record.

Exceptions remain explicit

A waiver must be written, scoped, compensated, owned, and time-bounded. It does not rewrite the rule it temporarily excuses, and it cannot waive a security release blocker. The ledger is the only authority for whether a waiver exists or remains active.

Documentation deployment does not complete Phase 012

This pre-release site was migrated early to repair the public docs.renvor.dev endpoint and make the documentation source reviewable in its intended repository. Phase 012 still owns the complete versioned documentation set, immutable-release API generation, tutorials, and its own validation evidence. Deploying this snapshot does not claim those deliverables are complete.
